Prepare the following ingredients:
- Put lentils and sliced carrot into a pot and add 1,5 litres of cold water. Bring it to a boil over high heat, then reduce to low and cook until lentils are soft and tender.
- If you want to have a soup with a really intense mushroom flavor, add some mushrooms.
If using fresh ones, slice them and fry them onto a half tablespoon of oil until all the liquid they release vapors. Then, add them into the pot with lentils once lentils are done.
If you choose canned ones, just rinse them with cold water, slice them and stir them into the lentils.
- Combine soup powder with 100ml of cold water and stir it into the lentils. Cook for 3-4 more minutes, until soup thickens a bit. Remove from fire, add parsley and some salt and pepper to taste. Be careful with the salt, as instant soup can be quite salted itself.
Serve warm, as a main dish with somebread andfresh salad, or plain as an appetizer.
