I used part of the cream to fill some crepes, and served the remaining cream as a dessert on its own.
This is what I used:
- Put orange juice, sugar, coconut and vanilla extract into a small pot and bring to boiling.
- In a separate bowl, combine water and flour (or cornstarch), to get a smooth mixture with no lumps. Pour it into the pot and cook, stirring constantly, just until it starts thickening, no more.
- Remove from fire and add butter and orange chunks. Cream is ready.
If you want to serve it as pudding (what it actually is), divide it between molds, small bowls or cups. You can decorate with whipped cream or some chocolate topping or grated chocolate, perhaps.
You can serve it warm or cold, as you wish.
I used a small bowl to "shape" the pudding and flipped it on a plate after it got cooled.
You can try those simple and yet fantastic crepes, or make some by your own recipe.
